Mixer Valve Sconce

The Mixer Valve Sconces are made from rare antique plumbing parts repurposed into a new life. Porcelain shower mixer valves make up the base while a vintage faucet becomes the arm of the sconce. Shades are included and are custom designed for these fixtures.

Mixer Valve Plates were first introduced in hospitals and later in fine hotels before appearing in homes in the 1900’s. It’s the mechanism that mixed hot and cold water to your desired temperature. Manufacturers include: Hoffmann & Billings MFG Co., Crane Company, Federal Huber Co. Chicago, Standard Sanitary Manufacturing, and Morency-Van Buren MFG Co. to name a few.
